About NHI Care Awards
The Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards are the premier national celebration of the outstanding care being delivered in nursing homes in communities across Ireland. The prestigious event honours and recognises exceptional care being provided to people within our nursing homes.
The Care Awards promote best practice within the nursing home sector. They pay tribute to individuals who demonstrate outstanding excellence and dedication within their field of work. Nursing Homes fulfil a pivotal role in meeting Irish people’s health, care and living requirements. Thousands of outstanding staff and innovative practices within nursing homes are making hugely positive differences to people’s lives.

The Awards
Hundreds of people from the nursing home and healthcare sector will gather for the eight annual NHI Care Awards at the Citywest Hotel, Dublin on Thursday 16th November. The ten award categories reflect the diversity and many facets of nursing home life recognising not only outstanding staff, but innovative and best practice in the provision of care. Nurses, carers, activity coordinators and ancillary staff receive deserved recognition on the night. The awards honour best practices in catering and nutrition, social and recreational activities, innovations in dementia care, end-of-life care and those at the centre of nursing home life – the residents. It is an open nomination process, with nursing home staff, residents, their relatives and friends, and the general public invited to nominate. Nominating is easy and you can do so by filling out the application form. An independent judging panel, drawn from diverse backgrounds and differing fields, will spend many hours and days assessing and adjudicating the nominations before interviewing finalists ahead of the awards ceremony.
